CopyPaste Unlocker is a Chrome extension designed to help users restore common copy and paste behavior on websites they choose to enable.

What The Extension Does

The extension runs locally in your browser and only becomes active when you enable it for the current website. Its core purpose is to help restore normal browser copy and paste behavior where common website restrictions interfere with text selection, copy, cut, paste, or context menu behavior.

Data Collection

The extension itself does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data.

It does not collect browsing history.
It does not collect clipboard contents.
It does not collect copied text.
It does not collect page content.
It does not collect passwords, cookies, or form data.
It does not upload site lists or extension usage data to a server.

Local Storage

The extension stores per-site settings locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. These settings are used only to remember whether copy, paste, and Safe Mode are enabled for a specific site.

These locally stored settings are not transmitted to any remote server.

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions needed to perform its core function:

storage to save your per-site preferences locally.
scripting to inject the packaged content script on sites you enable.
activeTab to identify the current site in the popup and apply changes immediately.
Optional site access is requested only when you enable the extension for the current site.

Payments And Pro Upgrade

The extension includes an optional external checkout link for users who choose to access CopyPaste Unlocker Pro.

The checkout page opens in a new browser tab.
The extension does not process payments inside the extension UI.
The extension does not receive, store, or transmit payment card data.
If you proceed on the external checkout page, payment and account information are handled according to that checkout provider's own terms and privacy policy.

This optional checkout path is for the same CopyPaste Unlocker product and does not change the extension's single-purpose copy and paste function.

Third-Party Code And Tracking

The extension does not use remote code, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers inside the extension.

Policy Changes

If a future version introduces data collection, cloud sync, account systems, or any new payment handling inside the extension, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures must be updated before release.
